ELONGA Internship in Namibia
ELONGA is the local link between interns and Namibian organizations, media, and educational institutions. Depending on your skills and passion, you, as an international volunteer, can aid local schools, orphanages, health clinics, media companies, tourism groups, and environmental projects, and several other important initiatives. ELONGA offers comfortable accommodation at a hostel in Windhoek, close to the city center. ELONGA welcomed its first student intern in 2008, and with the organization’s years of experience, participants are provided with key information on life in Namibia and all of the wonderful opportunities this country has to offer!

Partner Spotlight: Gerda
Gerda was born and raised in South-Germany and is the founder and director of the ELONGA internship program and hostel. She came to Namibia in 1986 and, with her years of intercultural experience and knowledge of Namibia, she founded Elonga in 2007. Garda’s priority is the care and wellbeing of the interns and guests at her hostel.
